Do not use anything that could damage your shoot, such as wires, to tie your shoot where you wish. Some fabric or thick plastic strips should be enough.
Even for a little crop of grapes, it is a good idea to buy a trellis. There will be a bit of investment, but you will have much better results. Then again, make sure if you spend a lot of money to purchase one, that you don't mess up your grapes by failing to spend some time to properly prepare your grape trellis.
